There’s a lot of fitness programs in Yuba City and you scheduled with us, thank you for that! We’re confident we provide the best environment for progression and growth, most realistic jiu jitsu that applies to real life and competition, the coolest members, not to mention the best mat space.

What To Expect At Your First Class

Welcome

Please arrive 5 minutes prior so we can get you signed up on a waiver and we can show you the gym.

When you walk in the doors, if we don’t approach you first, find a coach (Jake, Mike, Brian) and let them know you’ve booked a trial. We usually spot you first. We’ll meet you, learn about your goals and interests, and welcome you to the mats. There is abundant seating, air conditioning, water station, changing room and restroom.

Training

We do light warm ups to get the blood pumping, then we do functional warm ups that set muscle memory for tactics that are useful for kickboxing.

Then a coach will give multiple rounds of instruction where we go over combinations with partners using pads and gloves. Then we finish on the bags, high intensity, burning sweat. It’s all non contact, non combat! You will be paired with another friendly member during this time, assigned by the coach for your best fit on your first day.

Attire

Have any long hair tied up, in athletic clothing: shorts, leggings, sweatpants, and a t-shirt that is not excessively loose.

Bring slides or sandals to make it easy to get on/off the mats. We’ll text you soon to confirm and remind you of your trial class and answer any questions you may have. See you in class!
